Important Message to My Readers

I know I have been absent from my daily blogging lately and I must first apologize for that. I took some time off to spend with my family, end the school year and complete evaluations, and begin planning for next school year etc.

In the midst of all this planning, I had a moment where I struggled with myself over where my priorities had fallen over the last year.

Princess did very well on her end of the year evaluation, still I felt I had not taught her enough. She did very well simply because she is a very bright child who was always ahead of her peers in many aspects. Due to her natural abilities, I highly expected her to breeze through Kindergarten work and tackle first grade level work with the hunger I have always seen in her. Truth is, she didn't.

When I took the time to think about why this would be, I could only conclude that I did not give her the guidance that she needed. My daughter is very smart, but she also loses focus very easily if not encouraged.

I have spent countless hours working on this blog over the past year. All you fellow bloggers know, it actually takes a lot of work creating unique articles, scheduling them to post at just the right time, writing honest reviews, hosting giveaways, announcing winners, hosting and participating in blog hops...I could go on, but I am sure you get the picture.

So, why was this a problem? I make no money doing this! We are a one income family and I was easily spending more time blogging than I would have at a part-time job that would have helped us financially. Not only was I not making money, I was also taking that precious time away from my family.

When my husband and I decided to start a family, it was decided that I would stay home with the children. My biggest dream in life was always to be a mom and I did not want to miss a single moment of my children's lives. I have missed many moments this past year.

So, after a fierce internal battle because I did not want to be a quitter, in the end I had to follow my heart and I chose my children.

I will no longer be blogging. Instead I will be devoting my time and energy to my kids, who deserve it more than anyone else in this world.

It has been a pleasure meeting all the wonderful people of the blogging world and an honor working with so many amazing companies, but it's time to say good-bye.

I must say, I have an enormous amount of admiration for the bloggy moms that not only blog, but work (whether part time or full time, inside or out of the home), raise their children (whether you homeschool or public school), get dinner on the table every night on time and still keep a healthy, happy relationship with their spouses. I applaud you - you all deserve to take a bow! I hope when I grow up I can be just like you!

Maybe when that day comes, I will return to the blogging world, but for now, the sweet voices of the most important two little people in the world are calling for Mama to come play.

So farewell my friends, until we meet again.
